Patent Number: 5972689
Docket Number: 5597
Serial Number: 8788604
Date Patented: 10/26/1999
Technology Description:
The invention is designed to control root diseases caused by Gaeumannomyces graminis, Rhizoctonia, and Pythium in wheat and other cereal crops, and grain legumes. This involves a method to identify seed-treatment products to simultaneously control these root diseases. The invention uses Bacillus strains as an effective method to control diseases caused by G. graminis, Rhizoctonia and Phythium. Compositions comprising a fungicide and Bacillus strains can be used by growers for field control of a combination of the root diseases.
